Two Florida Representatives Join Other Dems To Turn The U.S. Into A Third World Hellhole

Two Florida Representatives Join Other Dems To Turn The U.S. Into A Third World Hellhole

Two Florida members of the U.S. House of Representatives (Alcee Hastings, D-FL-20, and Frederica Wilson, D-FL-24) and one from Georgia (Hank Johnson D-GA-4) are three of 44 Democrat sponsors of a little-known bill (New Way Forward, H.R. 5383) that puts their hatred of the United States on full display and would turn our country into a violent third world hellhole if it passed.

Hastings and Wilson, two of Florida’s dimmest and most dangerous embarrassments.

Their support for this atrocious bill should also be an extreme and alarming embarrassment to people who voted for these three nitwits. But it probably won’t be as it’s obvious their constituents have the attention spans of hummingbirds since this nutty trio have been reelected numerous times despite bringing nothing home to their districts but national embarrassment and ridicule. Hastings was impeached by the US House for bribery and perjury by a vote of 413–3 in 1989. He was then convicted by the US Senate, becoming only the sixth federal judge in the history of the country to be removed from office by the Senate; Wilson is predominantly known for wearing goofy colored plastic cowboy hats and wants to pass a law to punish folks who criticize members of Congress; while Johnson believes that islands float and if they become overpopulated they’ll tip over and sink. I didn’t make any of that up.

I first heard about the New Way Forward Bill on Tucker Carlson’s Fox News program last Thursday and Friday evenings and have since received a variety of correspondence from a number of other folks who are equally alarmed.

In a nutshell The bill would entirely remake the US immigration system, with the explicit purpose of ensuring that criminals are able to move here, and settle here permanently, with impunity. The Organized Communities Against Deportations (OCAD) — a coalition of Chicago civil rights, immigration, and criminal justice reform organizations — is promoting the bill. OCAD advocates against the detention and deportation of illegal aliens and promotes open borders. The bill would end mandatory detention and automatic deportation proceedings for illegal immigrants and end local police cooperation with ICE.

The bill was introduced by Democrat Chicago Rep. Jesus “Chuy” Garcia. Other Democrat House Members have since jumped on this fruitcake bandwagon including the usual Democrat crackpot suspects of Reps. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York.

Don’t believe it? Well, here’s a link to the proposed bill: https://www.congress.gov/bill/116th-congress/house-bill/5383/text

The link below is to Tucker Carlson’s explanation of the bill and is in plain English.

https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/tucker-carlson-criminals-would-be-protected-from-deportation-under-bill-aoc-and-other-house-democrats-back

As Tucker Carlson explained: “The New Way Forward act is the most radical single piece of legislation we’ve seen proposed in this country.”

“Keep in mind,” adds Carlson, “we’re not talking about convictions for double parking. The bill targets felony convictions – serious crimes that send you to prison for years. A press release from Rep., Jesus Garcia, D-Ill., is explicit about this.”

Garcia brags that the bill will break the “prison to deportation pipeline.” “How does the bill do that?” asks Carlson. “Under current U.S. law, legal U.S. immigrants can be deported if they commit an ‘aggravated felony’ or a ‘crime of moral turpitude’ – that is, a vile, depraved act, like molesting a child. Under the New Way Forward Act, ‘crimes of moral turpitude’ are eliminated entirely as a justification for deportation. And the category of ‘aggravated felony’ gets circumscribed too.”

“If this bill passes the House and Senate and is signed into law by the president,” explains Carlson, “there will no longer be any crimes that automatically require deportation. None.”

If the New Way Forward Act becomes law, immigrants who commit rape, child abuse and even manslaughter would remain in the country. They’ll all be eligible for citizenship one day, too.

It doesn’t stop there adds Carlson. “Current law also states that those who have committed drug crimes abroad, or any ‘crimes involving moral turpitude,’ are ineligible to immigrate here. The New Way Forward Act abolishes that statute too.”

For example, he says: “A Mexican drug cartel leader could be released from prison, then freely come to America immediately. And if he wants, he could come here illegally, and it wouldn’t be a crime – because the bill also decriminalizes illegal entry into America, even by those previously deported.”

The legislation doesn’t just make it harder to deport legal immigrants who commit crimes but would also effectively abolish all existing enforcement against illegal immigration.

Not only are Democrats encouraging and coddling this horde of Atilla the Hun-like plunderers and pillagers, but at the same time they’re attempting to pass legislation taking away our 2nd Amendment rights that enable us to protect ourselves from these vicious thugs.

Passports? We don’t need no stinkin’ passports!

To detain illegal aliens, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) would have to prove in court that the illegal immigrants are dangerous or a flight risk. But ICE wouldn’t be allowed to use a detainee’s prior criminal behavior as proof he or she is dangerous. That’s banned.

In other words, it would be much harder to arrest an illegal alien than it is to arrest an American citizen. Under this bill they’ll the protected class while American citizens are just a bunch of white supremist losers who’ll pay for it all.

“Believe it or not, we saved the nuttiest part for last” says Carlson. “What could be more destructive than changing U.S. law, specifically to allow rapists, child molesters, and drug dealers to stay in America? How about this: Using taxpayer money to bring deported criminals back into America. That’s right. This bill would not only abolish your right to control who lives in your own country, but it invents a new right in return: the ‘right to come home.’”

Under the bill the Department of Homeland Security must spend taxpayer dollars transporting convicted criminal illegal aliens into the United States. Who will be eligible for these free flights? Tens of thousands of people kicked out of this country for all kinds of crimes. Sexual abuse. Robbery. Assault. Drug trafficking, weapons trafficking, human trafficking.

From 2002 to 2018, 480,000 people were deported for illegal entry or reentry into America says Carlson. And under this bill, you’d have to buy them all a plane ticket to come back. The tickets alone would cost about a billion dollars, and that’s before Democrats make you start paying for these criminals’ free health care, too. Which they plan to.

According to the sponsors of this bill America would be better off as a borderless rest area for the world’s worst predators and parasites.

“This is a big deal,” warns Carlson. “It’s hard to believe any American would put these ideas on paper, much less pass them into law. Yet, remarkably, the press has ignored it. Scores of Democrats have backed it, but the bill hasn’t been mentioned in The New York Times, or on CNN, or even in self-described conservative outlets like National Review.”

My take on it mirrors Carlson’s. There are no redeeming qualities in this contemptable bill, not one. It’s a custom-designed proposal of radical dishonesty, hysteria, and abuse designed to punish American citizens and reward violent, law-breaking illegal aliens. It makes no sense whatsoever. It was cobbled together by a crackpot group of radical Democrats with a venomous attitude that anyone disagreeing with them must be vilified, punished and destroyed. It clearly illustrates their hatred for America and its citizens. The 44 Democrat sponsors of this bill are comparable to a small group of addled 13th Century Vienna city officials standing on that city’s parapets to cheer on Genghis Kahn and his blood-thirsty Mongol horde as he prepared to sack their city. Except the Austrians weren’t as dim as American Dems and they did no such thing.

Amelia Island author and activist, Deb Boelkes, head of the local conservative group “We the People” is already on top of it. This week she voiced her concerns about this atrocity to US Congressman John Rutherford who immediately responded as follows:

“We are aware, Deb. This is the type of stuff all the Justice Democrats are pushing. Unless we get Dems to vote against it in the house, we can’t stop it. Which is why we need to work hard to win back the house. Thank God we control the Senate and it doesn’t have a snowball’s chance of passing there. Deb, thanks again for keeping citizens informed at this very precarious time in our country. We the People are true Patriots!!”

I urge you to express your concern by contacting Representative Rutherford by email by going to rutherford.house.gov or calling him at 202/225-2501. Call or email Florida Senator Rick Scott at rickscott.senate.gov or 202/224-5274 and Senator Marco Rubio at rubio.senate.gov or 202/224-3041 to voice your opinion. Use your own words, all or any part of this blog or the Tucker Carlson link. A letter to the editor to the local News Leader or the Jacksonville-based Florida Times Union would also help warn voters what the perverse Democrats are up to.

Speaking of Deb Boelkes: Ms. Boelkes will be one of 13 local authors to be interviewed by Amelia Island resident and NY Times Best-Selling author David Baldacci, honorary chair of this year’s Amelia Island Book Festival. During the annual local author coffee breakout session, Baldacci will call on Boelkes and each of the other twelve local authors to share insights about themselves and their books. The Local Authors Presentation will be held from 11:00 am to noon tomorrow, Saturday, February 15th, at Fernandina Beach Middle School, in the Media Center, next to the gym on Citrona.  Ms. Boelkes is the author of the just published The WOW Factor Workplace: How to Create a Best Place to Work Culture. Is It Just Me or did the Democrat House managers during President’s Trump phony impeachment trial all look like they tumbled off the pages of Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland? Three of these Congressional Inspector Clouseau types were glumly bunched together sitting on their hands during President Trump’s State of the Union speech with Adam Schiff doing a spot on impersonation of  the Mad Hatter; Jerry Nadler, Humpty Dumpty wearing glasses, and Zoe Lofgren — who looks like she combs her hair with an egg beater and digs through her laundry hamper for the cleanest and least wrinkled item — a disheveled Queen of Hearts. All three of their throats were still sore from screeching “Sentence first – verdict afterwards!” Nancy Pelosi’s petty, disgusting and infantile speech-ripping display only makes Americans wonder why the Democrat party hasn’t put her out to pasture long ago, far from the halls of government. Pelosi, who is supposed to be in a leadership role, looked more like a pint-sized middle school bully who sits at the head of the mean girl’s table during lunch. These garish hypocrites are fast becoming America’s favorite form of entertainment. To quote what a bumbling and confused Joe Biden called one of his New Hampshire primary supporters, they’re all “lying, dog-faced pony soldiers.”  After all this we should hear no more lectures from these clowns accusing Republicans of lowering the tone of politics. What did these Democrat sociopaths hope to accomplish with their unprofessional and repulsive conduct during the SOTUS other than to let the U.S. Congress look like a huge cheering section of Republicans rooting for America and its citizens to millions of TV viewers? They’ll discover in November that their vile, reckless and inept conduct guaranteed four more years for President Trump and cost many of them their congressional seats.

A Ticket To Nowhere: Whatever the Democrats conjure up this year may eclipse their doomed 1972 Democrat presidential ticket of Senator George McGovern (D-SD) and Ambassador to France Sargent Shriver — who replaced MO Senator Thomas Eagleton as the VP choice — that ran against

Flossie on the campaign trail.

incumbent President Richard Nixon in 1972? That dismal duo won only Massachusetts and the District of Columbia in the greatest Electoral College landslide in U.S. history up to then. McGovern, who didn’t even win his home state of South Dakota, picked up just 17 Electoral College votes to Nixon’s 520. Based on the chaos currently underway within today’s Democrat party I predict that the presidential and VP candidates emerging from its upcoming brokered Milwaukee convention in July will be dark horse Presidential nominee Flossie the Wonder Chicken with Clinton family gardener, Juan Garcia, as VP. Flossie and Mr. Garcia will probably carry D.C. By the way, the Democrats are requesting $50 million for security at their convention. Why don’t they just post a few “This is a gun free zone” signs like they want the rest of us to do and call it a day?

Chipping In For Chip: I have to give Fernandina Beach City Commissioner Dr. Chip Ross credit for taking time to thoroughly research city issues. In addition to doing an exhaustive job of digging into each topic that comes before the Commission, he has also been reaching out to members of the community for their feedback, whether they’re supporters of his or not. If he thinks you’re all wet he won’t hesitate to bluntly explain why he thinks so while at the same time thanking you for your opinion. I know from experience.

An interesting example of the local emergency room doctor’s outreach efforts took place January 5 when he asked a group of local citizens for their opinions on how they would handle city owned non-performing assets such as the golf course, marina, airport, etc. He sent a group of us an email that read: “After reading your columns and comments by others and reading The Public Wealth of Cities – I did an inventory of all the property the City owns [attached]. I think your basic premise is that the City is a bloated bureaucracy that should be able to use under-performing assets to ramp up much needed investment. I am curious as to which City owned properties you view as superfluous and should be sold and which assets should be managed differently. Your insights would be appreciated.”

It was the first time that most of us have ever seen a detailed inventory of all the property owned by the city and its monetary value. It was amazing to us that the city didn’t already have this information but had to rely on Commissioner Ross to pull it together.

I was surprised to be included among this informal email group that consists of an impressive collection of folks including local attorneys, real estate executives, businessmen, authorities on state and local government, magazine editors, publishers, columnists and more. The back-and-forth has been candid and informative.

I don’t always agree with Commissioner Ross, and I’m not sure how sincere he is in his approach here. Maybe it’s all for show. However, as far back as I can recall, he’s the only city official I’m aware of that’s asked for local opinions on how to cut waste, reduce bloated government, and better manage or eliminate unnecessary city assets, even reaching out to his critics. As one vocal critic among  our group says, “the only time the city reacts to voter criticism is when it is either threatened with elimination or having its money cut off.” Dr. Ross’s two prior lawsuits against the city still leave a bitter taste in my mouth and at times his political bedside manner slips into the abrasive mode. What he and the city will do with our collective advice remains to be seen.

For reservations call (904) 261-9972 or go to ameliarivercruises.com. I’d be on this boat to St. Marys if I hadn’t teamed up once again with Pajamadave Voorhees of PJD’s Beer & Wine Garden fame to win the Fernandina Beach Chili Cook-off the afternoon of Feb 22. I haven’t seen a single notice or promotional item issued by the city about the chili event, which always draws a large and enthusiastic crowd. What’s up with that city hall? I thought they added an Information Officer to keep folks informed.

Dave, surprised there were so few messages by the detractors of your commentary this week. Then I noticed it was “President’s Day Weekend” so I figure they were aware that Trump was President and decided to leave the country as they said they would do if he were elected! Lots of jabbering in the press about former employees of the “Just Us” department complaining of actions taken by the Attorney General over the Stone sentencing. I guess the identifier “former” implies they were employed during the Holder reign. You know, Holder whom Obama categorized as his wingman and whom had the distinction of being held in contempt for failure to provide documents about a gun running to Mexico investigation. Funny how we didn’t hear of any complaints by them when that happened.

Maybe we could start another: “President is son of German born Nazi spy.”
