Relief, Retribution & Unity Will Come At The Polls In Nov.

Despite firefighter and rally attendee Corey Comperatore being murdered, two others severely wounded and President Trump less than an inch away from a kill-shot by a Pennsylvania shooter Saturday, July 13, Democrats continue to ramp up their inciteful hate speech unabated.

With Biden on the ropes dazed and confused, the Democrat party and its media accomplices are frantically desperate. They lost little time in furthering their continuing efforts to discredit and malign Trump and his allies and further fuel the inflammatory disposition of their more deranged followers and media lackeys that led to the shooting.

Biden’s as guilty as anyone. In speech after speech he has scorned Trump and his supporters , even his Supreme Court appointees as “threats to democracy.”

In characteristic bumbling fashion Biden typically tripped all over his tongue attempting to justify using the terms “bullseye” and “crosshairs” in comments about Trump’s attempted assassination to NBC’s Lester Holt just a day later.

Following the shooting the obviously mentally disturbed ABC View harpies were gleeful in their ongoing hate blitz of the former president. The despicable Joy Reid called Trump’s victorious moment of rising after the very near miss an “iconic photo op,” and absurdly argued that Biden’s eventual recovery from COVID could be seen “exactly the same” as Trump’s courageous reaction to almost being killed. Are their network suits ever embarrassed?

A Democrat Congressman Bennie Thompson staff member expressed disappointment that the shooter missed killing Trump. All of these and more are the same unhinged sociopaths that compare Trump to Hitler.

Shawn Raup-Konsavage, an openly gay Mayor of Bernville, PA. reportedly said “try harder” after the shooter missed. A recall petition is currently underway to oust him.

These people have no shame or conscience. They seek by any means to delegitimize and eviscerate the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. They target their political opponents for harassment, investigations, or any other method including imprisoning and even encouraging and enticing others to kill them.

Their inflammatory rhetoric and contempt for America resulted in a former president and current presidential candidate almost being killed, a local fireman murdered, and two others severely wounded. Yet these vicious unconscionable Democrat fanatics continue to spout their vile lies and Marxist propaganda no matter the consequences. They think: “So what? That’s just collateral damage.”

As the Democrats survey their scorched political landscape and the smoldering debris of their failed and insane policies and wasteful programs they are beside themselves with anger, incomprehension, and self-doubt about why the polls show the American public wants nothing more to do with them and Biden.

Democrats are in a panic. They want to dump Biden.  However, it isn’t just this mumbling, bumbling, bewildered old geezer that failed, but the nameless, unelected puppeteers pulling his strings and running the country into the ground that are failing.

It’s getting more and more apparent that the Dems will dump the sad old codger. They realized while watching the Republican Convention in Milwaukee and Donald Trump’s speech that massive rejection is just around the corner, less than four months away. I hope they leave the incomprehensible old fool where he is and let the American public display on election day how futile it has been to promote the fiction of his competency.

The major problem the Democrats have now is that the wedding invitations have gone out and they need to find a new fiancé. Their bench is thin, down to Kamala Harris and Flossie the Wonder Chicken.

Biden’s political future is dim. Commenting on the GOP convention Democrat strategist Van Jones said it best: “Trump is getting his butt kissed by his party while Biden is getting his butt kicked by his.”

The rationale voting public of all political and ethnic persuasions will have its revenge at the November polls. It will show no mercy on the colossal damage that Biden and the evil Democrats have done to America. The only folks left that will vote for Biden are gender studies majors with $20,000 and more left in student loans and illegal aliens with phony IDs.

A Trump-Vance landslide will be sweet revenge.

Jerry Hester

Fernandina FBI Agent Speaks Out: Amelia Island resident and recently retired FBI agent Jerry Hester knows more than most about protecting prominent people from harm when they appear before crowds in public areas.

Jerry, who was an FBI counter-terrorism specialist, is currently a security consultant with the National Football League, and is present at all Jacksonville Jaguar home games, serving in that capacity.

Jerry is also the author of the recently published book “Mafia Miami,” a true tale of an agency  investigation he led that resulted in the breakup of an organized crime mob and the petty internal FBI politics he had to overcome. It can be ordered at https://rowman.com . He was also called upon to help investigate the Parkland, Florida Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting that killed 17 students in February 2018.

I talked with Jerry Sunday, July 14, the day after the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump in Pennsylvania. He said based on what he read and observed there was very little coordination between the local police and the Secret Service.

Jerry also told me and NBC affiliate WJAX News Channel 47’s Ben Becker: “It was inexcusable that the shooter could get that close. When I saw the video of the shots I speculated that they came from outside the perimeter established by the Secret Service.”

Jerry told me that as an additional precaution that the venue for the Trump rally should have been locked down the night before like the NFL does for its games.

When asked how it was possible that someone with a gun could have entered the rally area, he responded that it would have been difficult, since everyone entering the rally would certainly have had to be screened for weapons before entering. He speculated that “there was the possibility that someone could have been positioned outside the perimeter of the rally with a rifle, and then fired shots.” His suspicions were later confirmed.

“The embarrassing failure of allowing an armed 20-year-old with no military or law enforcement  experience, to gain access and get off a shot at Trump, can only be surpassed by the recent revelation that the USSS knew about the shooter 26 minutes before the first shots were fired. How is this even possible? Let’s just pray that a thorough and independent investigation is completed, at some point, for the good of our country. We all need to know what happened and why.”

“Somebody should be held accountable,” added Jerry, who called for the firing of  the U.S. Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle. He joins a growing chorus of critics calling for the head of Cheatle, who formerly worked as head of security for PepsiCo. As former Utah Republican Congressman Jason Chaffetz says: “She was previously in charge of guarding Quacker Oats.”

Following the shooting Cheatle has been criticized for installing mindless woke DEI procedures including insisting that 30 percent of Secret Service agents be women. While he was being hustled off the stage by a phalanx of agents it was obvious to everyone watching that the two small women in the huddle were of little to no use in trying to protect the 6-foot 3-inch, 216-pound Trump.

“The USSS director should be fired, and the agency and its training program should be thoroughly scrutinized and completely revamped,” says Jerry.

“It’s obvious to me that whoever was in charge of the Trump rally the USSS security detail failed miserably. It was inexcusable that the building from which the shooter was positioned was not previously secured and locked down long before the president took the stage. The USSS should admit its failure and take complete responsibility. That is what our country has been lacking in the last few years under the Biden administration. Refusing to be accountable for its actions and mistakes is why so many have lost faith in our government and its institutions.”

Jerry, and his wife Daisy, also a retired FBI agent, retired on Amelia Island two years ago. Their last assignment before moving here was in Miami alongside Fox News contributor and former agent Nicole Parker.

“Read All About It!” Just Not Here! The Fernandina News Leader is not a newspaper. It may have been at one time, but no longer. It used to report news. Anyone reading it for information these days might as well pull out a copy of the Babylon Bee or the Amelia Island News Wrecker and expect to read an accurate summary of local, regional, or national events.

And just when you think its reporting and opinions pieces couldn’t get more ridiculous, they do.

Other than veteran journalist and syndicated columnist Steve Nicklas, and outdoors editor Terry Lacoss (both unpaid volunteers) and sports Editor Beth Jones, the newspaper lacks any discernable editorial talent. Ms. Jones is the only member of that talented trio to be employed at the paper.

It’s no surprise that the new Yulee News www.Yuleenews.com and online Citizens Journal Florida. https://www.citizensjournal.net/, are continually picking up readers and advertisers.

My new “favorite” News Leader columnist is transplanted New Yorker, Jennifer Silverman, who specializes in writing about Jennifer Silverman.

Her columns, titled “The Curious Columnist,” confirm that her curiosity doesn’t extend past her nose.

Silverman’s Thursday, July 10, 500-word column headlined “Written in the stars?” drips with narcissistic self-serving pablum from beginning to end. The piece was peppered with 49 personal pronouns, (Yep, I counted them ), almost 10 percent of the word count.

The tetchy curious commentator describes the anger she experienced when someone voiced criticism about an item purchased from an online sale she conducted, granting her only a “three-star review.”

Silverman’s column account portrays that critique as a life-altering event that produced an acute case of mental indigestion.

Her mug shot portrays Silverman as an attractive, happy, 38-year-old. However, the “happiness” characteristic is suspect. In previous columns she rarely fails to mention that she is divorced, and her happy face only seems to stem from getting rid of the poor sod.

Based on what I’ve read in her columns he should be the ecstatic half of this equation by having this gal in his rearview mirror. Had he hung around his life would have been one of massive matrimonial misery.

According to her recent musing Silverman decided to unclutter her residence starting with “the untouched wedding gifts,” which, she says, “reminded me of my ex-husband.”

Two things here. Since they were wedding gifts does he have a right to half of them? Did she split the proceeds with him? It also signals that her ex wised up quickly and hit the bricks soon after the nuptials since the gifts were “untouched.”

“She only gave me three stars!!!!”

“But anyway,” as Joe Biden, is prone to mutter, one of the curious columnist’s customers complained online about an item purchased from the columnist’s closet cleaning clutter. This drove Ms. Silverman – who is obviously not getting enough fiber in her diet – nuts. She wallowed in her anger about the customer, saying the buyer left “….a dishonest accusatory review of her purchase.”

How thin-skinned and petty is this petulant gal? She opinioned how she “paced around and stewed over my obliterated perfect record.” She said she considered several angry options but “remembered her policy about not engaging with negative people” because she didn’t want to “become one myself.”

While wading through this tripe all I could think of was how fortunate her ex is to be her ex. She is giddily insufferable. I can only imagine how relieved he must be to be out of that house.

On the same page as the curious columnist’s claptrap was veteran News Leader writer Dickie Anderson’s column detailing her recent escapades with “Dwarf Nigerian goats.” I don’t make this stuff up, really!

Initially I thought she had managed to stumble into President Biden’s White House Press Briefing room and met Karine Jean-Pierre. But her column was about goats at a nearby farm. I didn’t read the entire piece because goats are of no interest to me unless they’re on a plate — cabrito al pastor – Tex-Mex style

In the NL’s July 3, 2024, issue in a story headlined “County Ready To Boom” alleged reporter Ashley Chandler wrote a front page story about a Callahan July 4 holiday celebration. It took her seven paragraphs before she mentioned where it would be held and what time.

On page 7A the paper’s Editor Tracy Dishman repeated the exact same information in an “Editor’s Note”. The “who, what, when and where” were right up front, but since Dishman used the words  “spectacular,” “excitement,” “anticipation” and “unmatched” without attribution to describe the event it was labeled an opinion editorial, or “Editor’s Note.”

In that same issue a letter to the editor headlined “We stand behind Joe Biden” was printed. This slobbering, laughable, biased twaddle was attributed to “The Nassau County Democrat Party,” a violation of the paper’s own guidelines requiring all letter writers to include names. However, in fairness, the piece was so embarrassingly awful that it’s possible the author requested anonymity.

The convoluted bi-weekly NL word jumble of far-left nonsense and journalistic malfeasance is “edited” by pathetic Brenda Starr wannabe, Dishman. In addition to the petulant Silverman, Dishman also recruited gruff New Yorker, Chuck Oliva, whose mug shot makes it appear he dozed off while scribbling leftist extremism that would embarrass even the staunchest Marxist.

Am I overly critical of this small-town weekly? Perhaps. But I can’t help myself, it’s such an inviting target and just too much fun to resist.

Personally I hope the paper keeps going because it supplies me with an endless supply of material and is a plethora of laughs.

  • Paraphrasing Gandhi, be the change you wish to see in Democrats Dave. Hypocrisy is never a good look.

    • I think you need to reread today’s blog – Dave doesn’t need to change, Democrats do. And by the way, where’s the hypocrisy ?

      • It really puzzles me to have to explain this, but here goes. Dave’s weekly vitriol is aimed at liberals – some national some local. So, following his own logic, if a reader decides to commit an act of violence upon a subject of Dave’s contempt then the fault lies with Dave. Right?

        • What an absurd, immoderate comparison. Where has Dave advocated killing Liberals/Progressives/Commies? You don’t sound very moderate and aren’t in the majority.

          • Mr. Miller, may I draw your attention to the cartoons at the beginning of this week’s blog. A rational person would conclude that the words used in the images are provided by Dave as examples of what Democrats are saying “….to discredit and malign Trump and his allies and further fuel the inflammatory disposition of their more deranged followers and media lackeys that led to the shooting.” Your attempt at straw-manning has been noted.

    • Whether Trump is a sinner, I do not know; one thing I do know, that though I was blind, now I see.
