Attention Democrats! Karl Is Not A Marx Brother

When I see and hear Democrats, TV news talking heads, newspaper columnists, professional sports team executives and their players, corporate CEOs, and Nassau County locals praising and donating money to Black Lives Matter (BLM) I’m appalled.

Do they have any idea what BLM is and what it represents? If they do it’s worse than I thought.

The contemptable corporate CEO’s are pathetically pandering to these mindless BLM thugs that are extorting them hoping they’ll spare their businesses from being looted and burned or calling for product boycotts.

The professional athletes, Hollywood celebrities, reporters, etc. who have the attention span of hummingbirds, are ignorant of any history predating early episodes of “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” and apparently feel that the First and Second amendments are violent, and think socialism is reasonable and righteous. Why else would they support this Marxist BLM rabble.

This naïve gaggle of BLM supporters and donors are precisely what Vladimir Lenin described more than 100 years ago when he coined the phrase “useful idiots.”

The main stream news organizations and their Democrat lackeys never explain BLM’s background or its current organization. They never ask BLM leaders probing questions about the group or its origins? Information is not difficult to find. It’s there for anyone willing to do a little searching. Are they afraid or intimidated because those that question BLM might be called “racists”?

Black Lives Matter is a Marxist organization to its core. It’s no secret that BLM worships at the altar of Karl Marx. It freely admits it.

“It is easy to be a Marxist if you know little of his life,” writes Walter Williams, a syndicated black columnist and Professor of economics at George Mason University. “Marx’s predictions about capitalism and the withering away of the state turned out to be grossly wrong. What most people don’t know is that Marx was a racist and an anti-Semite.”

BLM and its modern-day black-shirted Antifa thugs call for public harassment of elected officials and law enforcement and justify their violent assaults in the name of some perceived moral superiority. It claims its current outrage was sparked by the wrongful death by a Minneapolis police officer of a two-bit, petty criminal named George Floyd. But that was only the trigger they were seeking to ignite a national rampage of mayhem including, vandalism, filth, arson, theft, rioting, and killing that is unspooling in Democrat controlled cities across America.

Not one speaker at the Democrat Convention this week condemned the BLM-inspired chaos, terrorism, and violence taking place on the streets of Democrat controlled U.S. cities. Their silence speaks loudly.

The media and its Democrat partners – with the exception of Bernie Sanders – ignore the radical political philosophy of BLM and its patron saint, Karl Marx. To Sanders’ credit, he openly admits being a Marxist.

The problem today is that BLM admirers have no idea what Marxism is and are not aware or embarrassed about its racism and anti-Semitism because they’re either ignorant of it or agree with it. Anybody that has read or studied Marx knows that he freely used vile racial epitaphs about blacks in his writing. He even wrote that “lazy Mexicans” would be better off being dominated by America. He was a virulent Jew-hating bigot, despite being Jewish. He admitted all of this in his writings.

Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation is the original BLM organization founded and led by self-described “trained Marxists” Patrisse Khan-Cullors and Alicia Garza in 2013. It retains the website BLMGNF describes itself on its website as “a global organization in the U.S., UK, and Canada, whose mission is to eradicate white supremacy and build local power to intervene in violence inflicted on Black communities by state and vigilantes.”

A video from 2015 showcases BLM co-founder Patrisse Khan-Cullors describing the BLM leadership as “trained Marxists.” BLM’s official website promotes the tenets of Marxism-Leninism, the guiding doctrine of the former Soviet Union.

Among those is the disruption of the “Western-prescribed nuclear family structure.”

BLM emphatically states: “We disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure requirement by supporting each other as extended families and “villages” that collectively care for one another, especially our children, to the degree that mothers, parents, and children are comfortable.

The nuclear family – once the greatest strength of the black community – began unraveling in the early 1960’s with President Lyndon Johnson’s failed Great Society and its government handouts.

On national news last week, a BLM organizer and spokesperson in Chicago told her television interviewer that “looters should not be arrested or jailed because they deserve what they were stealing as reparations.” They stole tens of millions of dollars of goods and did untold damage to businesses putting many of them out of business for good.

And it’s getting more ridiculous as well as more dangerous. Last Thursday, August 13, groups of BLM anarchists swarmed Seattle suburbs demanding that white people there give up their homes to blacks. BLM activists, harassed residents and demanded that they “get the f*** out” and “give black people back their homes” as reparations.

According to video livestreamed by, dozens of activists marched through the residential area pounding drums, flashing lights on windows, yelling through loudspeakers, and demanding that residents give up their homes. BLM activists have also used similar tactics in Portland and Washington, D.C. That’s the scenario coming to suburban America if Joe Biden is elected.

It should be frightening to all Americans that Democrat Party vice presidential candidate Kamala Harris in an interview on MSNBC this week said “Black women pay attention to the issues. …. and when you have one ticket that can say the phrase Black Lives Matter and another who is full-time sowing hate and division in our country, those are the things that are going to motivate black women to vote.”

The rioting in some of the most liberal bastions of the country has taken a wild turn, with left-wing BLM anarchists in Portland and Seattle trying to systematically destroy those cities. It’s not about George Floyd folks. It’s all about Marxism.

It’s quite clear that the BLM movement is a vehicle for the far left to latch onto like a barnacle to mobilize for their socialistic-Marxist agenda items. BLM is a dangerous, hateful, radical organization that follows the Nazi playbook when they took control of the German government in the early 1930’s. Instead of “Brown Shirts” the BLM mob has its black-shirted Antifa thugs. And the Democrat Party owns BLM.

Blacks Speak Out: In addition to Professor Walter Williams, a variety of other prominent blacks have been outspoken in their opposition to the BLM movement, but their comments have been ignored by the media and fall on deaf Democrat ears.

Robert L. Woodson, Sr, a prominent black civil rights activist, author, and founder of the Woodson Center, is no fan of BLM and its Marxist mission to dismantle the nuclear family.

“The government dole played a major role in the dismantling of the black community, which remained strong even in the era of the greatest discrimination,” says Woodson.

“As long as Black Lives Matter pretends that it wears the mantle of the civil rights movement and its moral authority, it feels it is empowered to desecrate the very symbols of virtues, principles of faith, and nuclear family that brought black America through slavery, Jim Crow, and even then Depression and wars,” says Woodson.

Black talk radio host Larry Elder reported an overlooked and salient point made by BLM leadership that goes far beyond the insanity of reparations. Elder explained: “It is pretty impressive how powerful they’ve become, and if you look at some of the written demands that they’ve made over the past few years, it’s pretty clear this is all about transferring property from white people to black people. It’s the same premise as is reparations. The extraction of property and money from people who were never slave owners to be given to people who were never slaves. So, the whole thing is ridiculous”

Black NFL luminary and University of Georgia Heisman Trophy winner, Herschel Walker, slammed the Black Lives Matter movement a few days ago, saying that he’s for “American lives matter.”

The Washington Examiner reported Walker saying: “Why does a player need to decide who he is for?” Walker asked Fox News’s Laura Ingraham about professional athletes kneeling for the national anthem in support of Black Lives Matter during an appearance on her show: “What BLM are you supporting? The organization is not something that speaks for a lot of people.”

“I’m for ‘American Lives Matter’ because I’m an American,” said Mr. Walker.

“I saw a bunch of people holding a BLM sign burning the Holy Bible, burning the flag of the United States of America, and also burning a cross,” he said in a post. “And I started thinking, NFL, NBA, WNBA, MLB — are these the people you’re supporting right now? Is it the movement? Is it the organization? Because I don’t think that’s right.”

“We cannot continue to sweep stuff underneath the rug because sooner or later we’re going to stumble. People, are being fooled?” Walker exclaimed.

How Do You Spell Insanity? As radical-left Sen. Elizabeth Warren addressed the Democrat Convention from an early childhood education center in Massachusetts Wednesday folks watching could clearly see the letters B-L-M spelled out in colorful blocks in the background, sending a subliminal message to viewers.  By the way the people I saw at the Democrat Convention were the saddest, most unhappy, miserable, nastiest, and most confused collection of folks I’ve ever seen in one place since the last time I tuned into CNN or witnessed mobs of anguished Muslim terrorists wailing over the death of Iranian psyschopathic murderer General Soleimani.

Bikers 1, Antifa 0: The black-shirted Antifa wusses showed just how weak, cowardly, and impotent they are when they’re not beating up old ladies and shooting at children. When they arrived to antagonize the bikers at the annual Sturgis, South Dakota Biker rally last weekend they picked the wrong crowd. Ironically, they had to depend on the police to protect them, having to be surrounded by cops and eventually escorted out of town for their own safety.

Local Useful Idiots: A number of weeks ago Black Lives Matter organizers (many from out of the area) organized a rally and marched through downtown Fernandina Beach waving signs and chanting fashionable phony baloney scorn for imagined grievances. The event featured a number of Lenin’s local “useful idiots” including our far-left bartender Mayor Johnny “Moonbeam”  Miller, a guy who is totally clueless about democracy, government, history, budgets, public policy, and the Constitution, a document he obviously doesn’t understand and has clearly never read. His knees must still be bruised from all the kneeling he did during his pathetic display. At one point he even laid down on the pavement. A small group of curious onlookers appeared puzzled by the juvenile antics. They watched as the naïve protestors chanted their muddled messages and bobbed up and down on the pavement like Whack-a-Moles. I can understand a pompous, patronizing, gasbag like City Commissioner Chip Ross kneeling down faster than a fat boy on a seesaw when the kid on the other end abruptly jumps off but was disappointed to see some others I recognized on their knees in the middle of that screwball mostly out-of-town crowd.

Local Voting Dilemma: In the November election for Fernandina Beach City Commission I’ll be casting my votes for Bradley Bean in Group 1 and David Sturges in Group 2. I’ve personally met with both of these candidates and left impressed. However, I’ve got a problem in the Group 3 race between incumbent Dr. Chip Ross and his challenger Wendall J. McGahee.

The city can’t handle another four years of the pompous, self-righteous, know-it-all spend thrift Ross and I can’t bring myself to vote for McGahee, a 25-year-old activist who appears to be obsessed with identity politics and who supports the BLM nonsense.

During the local BLM protest march earlier this summer McGahee told the News Leader that he hoped the protest/march would initiate change adding: “Rioting is what happens when you turn a deaf ear to people. Marching downtown is great, but this needs to be ongoing and constant. Something needs to happen. We want change, but will it ever come.”

His rhetoric makes me uncomfortable. He doesn’t explain what changes he wants but implies if he doesn’t get them rioting may happen.

June 13 BLM Fernandina Beach protest march,

I emailed Mr. McGahee this past Tuesday asking him about his involvement with BLM and have yet to receive a response. I used the email he told me to use and not the one I used previously that he said he rarely reads. Still nothing.

The Commission will thankfully be shed of the term limited clumsy, far-left clown Johnny Miller, who has embarrassed the city for far too long. And the do-nothing Phil Chapman, will be as happy to leave the commission as the community will be to see him go.

If Bean and Sturges are elected I feel we’ll have a quartet of fiscal conservatives (Mike Lednovich and Len Kreger are not up for re-election) who will challenge the free-spending City Manager Dale Martin and may even send him packing.

Dr. Ross or McGahee will only provide sideline entertainment and hopefully do no harm.

In Group 3 I’m writing in my vote for PJD’s Pajama Dave, someone I know I can trust and who keeps the beer colder than my ex-wife’s heart.

Kabul, D.C. The other day, in a single incident, 21 black people, including a policewoman, were shot by other blacks in Washington, D.C., and the only outlet that covered the story was Fox News. The only way the rest of the media would have reported the story was if the shooter had been wearing a MAGA hat.

Blow The Bridges: My Amelia Island friend and astute observer who knows more than most about local government and economics makes an obvious point in a missive he sent me this week saying: “Dave, you know it is interesting how people move here (Ross, Lednovich, Hubin, etc.) and immediately want to stop any more development…..once I have MY home, that’s it.

“Blow the two bridges and keep any newcomers out. It’s ok for ME to move in, but not ok for THEE.

“Buy up all the land, make it a capital offense to cut down a tree, block development, so no one can come after ME. What if that had been the attitude in the 1950’s? The island would be a strip-mining site today. Talk about saving the trees!!

“It puzzles me, amazes me, saddens me.”

Ya Shoor! Many in the Democrat’s socialist Marxist crowd say that they admire countries such as Sweden, Norway, and Denmark, not understanding that those countries aren’t socialist-Marxist and were created by capitalism and democracy, not the violent overthrow of capitalism. And they continue to thrive today because of capitalism.

The Trojan Candidate: Presidential candidate Joe Biden clearly doesn’t have a clue where he is or what he’s saying and the media acts as if this is normal. He’s an empty suit, a Trojan Horse that the Bernie Sanders socialist wing of the party is filling with radical drivel.

Things I Wish I’d Said: “America is not divided by race, color, gender or sexual orientation.  America is divided into wise people and fools. And fools divide themselves by race, color, gender or sexual orientation.” – anonymous.

Other Things: West Coast columnist Burt Prelutsky shared the news that since the first of February, 45 American kids under the age of 15 have died of Covid-19.  Over 13,000 have died from other things.

In that same time frame, 11,371 Americans under the age of 55 have died of Covid-19, and most of them had failing immune systems.  Almost 190,000 people have died from other things.

It seems to me that we should stop fretting so much about the Chinese virus and start doing something about those other things.

  • Comment (13)
  • The primary election in Nassau County was great for the County Commission. The District 1 Commissioner who knows not where he lives is out., There will be three new commissioners sworn in. The candidates made a lot of promises so only time will tell if truce change is coming,

The FBCC races was a disaster. I’ll go shopping with your money Chip Ross is up against a BLM member/supporter. The city does not need Ross but the “Woke” candidate who obliviously wants to cancel culture is not needed either. The only hope is to elect commissioners who will work to remove Dale Martin as city Manager and remove the worthless Assistant City Manager position.

  • Mob rule, mass fear, threats, attacks on individuals for their beliefs – – these are the ingredients tyrants have used for centuries.
It’s sad our educational and cultural elites have brought us so low.

  • The other day I heard the song “Eve of Destruction” on the radio. Scary little things have changed in more then 50 years….. Will we never learn?

  • Dave I noticed that Biden’s commentary during the convention was carefully orchestrated to make him look solid, in control, and lucid. Careful, edited, snips of tapes. Reminds me of the scene from the movie My Cousin Vinny wherein the Vinny character played by Joe Pesci was describing the prosecution case. He pointed out the case looked real solid but it was a house of cards. He points out once you examine each card in the structure you see they are not strong like the solid bricks they are represented to be but rather thin and weak. Of course the democrat media is not going to examine him from the side but will present him as solid and in control while they keep him out of sight. Joe Lewis said Billy Conn can run but he cannot hide. I hope it comes true here or the republic is doomed.

  • Just to clarify, in Group 2 it is David Struges. Bob Sturgess (2 “S”) was recenlty defeated in his re-election bid for Port Authority District 1

  • We are being blindsided by the liberal media. Theirs is true censorship. Only reporting what they want to report and not reporting what’s really going on. Do you think they are a little biased?

  • Just need to correct a typo in my previous comment in Group 2 it is David Sturges. Bob Sturgess (2 “S”) was recenlty defeated in his re-election bid for Port Authority District 1

    • Orlando, thanks to your eagle eye I think I got it right this time. But no matter what, I’m voting for the candidate in Group 2 whose name comes closest to David Sturges.

  • Thanks for the city commioner suggestions …had already made up my mind since I know David …and also bradley’s Dad. Yes the last race is a dilemma …. I’ll watch the response to your inquiry …. but bottom line 2 out of three is a good start over what we had.
I’m afraid all the people leaving the big cities up north is only going to make life here a little worse ….. that blow the bridge thing has been a running joke here for last 25 years. ?

  • Dave….you are a sarcastic , acerbic curmudgeon of the highest order. All traits I find attractive in a man….keep up the good work sir.

  • Thank you for the FB election advice and the fantastic writing skills. Unfortunately I will have to vote for Chip Ross because it seems his opponent is a lunatic. Chip is cocky but smart. Johnny Miller laid down in the street?! OMG how unbelievably embarrassing. Good riddance to “Mr. Cocktail server of minors.” Did anyone happen to see the ANTIFA spray paint downtown next to the Salty Pelican? It said ACAB (all cops are bastards) and Fu$k 12 (another anti cop mantra). The town painted over it quickly. I have pictures. Thanks again Dave and hope to see you at PJD’s.

  • There is no reason why the city must provide a marina. There are 2 privately owned marinas on the island. The city should offer the marina for purchase by a private entity. The history of need to frequently dig out the mud and replace docks makes long term financing of debt as suggested by some seem ill advised. This is only a way to repetitively increase the size of the debt. Let’s just say NO!
