How did President Trump manage to react so quickly and put the unprepared defenseless Democrats into their current hysterical panic mode?
Trump and his team had years to plan for their actions. One move was to immediately replace the political appointees in jobs that did not need Senate confirmation. They moved in immediately after Trump took the oath of office.
Months before the inauguration, the MAGA team had assembled a team of computer experts that developed several software algorithms to find suspicious payouts speculates West coast commentator Steven Maikoski.
Maikoski said a key tactic was designed to search the system for the sources of outgoing payments that should not have been made — because of Trump’s spending freeze —then focused on those sources for their other disbursements. That led to the discovery of funding streams that had been buried for years.
Trump’s team has revealed how wasteful the federal government has been, but that waste was quickly overshadowed by the corruption. Watch for this to be a focus of Pam Bondi’s Department of Justice.
As American Spectator writer and friend Larry Thornberry wrote to me in an email: “Legacy media newsrooms and university faculty lounge dwellers will attempt to throw spanners into the spokes but will remain where the rubber meets the sky.”
Larry continued saying; “I’m glad that foreign leaders now realize that pulling on Superman’s cape, a favorite recreation of despots across the globe for the last four years, is no longer risk free. I’m pleased to see the military no longer being enlisted in advancing the revolution but returning to its true missions of providing a deterrence against bad actors and kicking those bad actors’ asses if they won’t be deterred. “
A local friend summed it all up for me recently saying: “The greatest Super Bowl ever is currently taking place in Washington, D.C. – the Patriots vs. the Stealers.”

Most Americans Cheering Trump: President Trump is making decisions at breakneck speed that are being celebrated by all Americans, not just the MAGA crowd.
Following are just a few of the most popular accomplishments the Trump administration has managed to undertake in just under four weeks:
- Getting U.S. hostages released in Russia and pressuring the Russians and Ukraine to end their war;
- Proposals for resettling Gaza
- Closing the U.S. border and rounding up criminal illegal aliens
- Convincing foreign governments to take back their illegals
- Convincing Mexico to send 10,000 troops to its border to stop illegal crossings
- Exposing massive government waste and fraud
- Firing useless government employees
- Exposing FEMA’s incompetence and political biases
- Declaring that the government recognizes only two sexes — male and female
- Banning biological males from girls’ sports and bathrooms
- Backing away from the left’s suicidal energy policies
Trump’s approval ratings are at their highest levels ever and increase daily despite only being on the job a little more than three weeks.
The Democrats have absolutely nothing to challenge Trump’s “America First” agenda. Trump won the election by bringing in more voters of every creed, race, class and religion and they aren’t disappointed. They overwhelmingly approve of his actions.
His popularity continues to surge among all Americans as evidenced by the thunderous ovation and cheers he received during the Super Bowl representing a cross section of Americans and the eye-popping poll numbers that have left-leaning media outlets astounded.
He’s driving Democrats and their base bonkers. Their only defense is to roll out screechers like Maxine Watters, Ilhan Omar and Ayanna Pressley to sing insipid songs, scream obscenities, cliches and other senseless blather. That’s it. That’s all they have. Nobody is paying attention to them and most folks find them obnoxious and a nuisance.
The Democrats are their own worst enemies. It’s obvious to anyone watching their antics that their party hates America, and they provide nothing of value, not even entertainment.
Standing in front of the “People’s House, the U.S. Capitol”, Democrat Representative Emanuel Cleaver, II of Missouri screamed at federal employees, who are supposed to work for the American taxpayer shouting: “Elon Musk, keep your hands off our money.”
“OUR money!” These raucous grifters actually believe it’s THEIR money. It’s not. It’s tax money that belongs to U.S. citizens. Democrats, their unelected union lackies and unelected government swamp bureaucrats have been spending it like drunken sailors for decades.
They now watch helplessly and in shock while their fraud, corruption and waste is exposed. They realize their gravy train is being derailed and they’re panicking. They’re in a state of stunned stupidity.
Musk and his DOGE group have exposed billions in tax money that is being doled out for insane programs such as:
- $1.5 million to “advance diversity equity and inclusion in Serbia’s workplaces and business communities”
- $70,000 for production of a “DEI musical” in Ireland
- $2.5 million for electric vehicles for Vietnam
- $47,000 for a “transgender opera” in Colombia
- $32,000 for a “transgender comic book” in Peru
- $2 million for sex changes and LGBT activism in Guatemala
They funneled billions through nongovernment agencies (NGOs) that then reportedly kicked much of it back to the Democrat Party as donations. It’s money laundering corruption on a massive scale. Now that their graft is being revealed they’re desperately lashing out and trying to figure out how to avoid prosecution.
It’s astounding that the people who stole from us are attempting to angrily justify their actions because they were caught.
“I think they understand that they cannot defend these expenditures. They’re corrupt. They’re unnecessary. Many of them are probably unlawful, so they go on offense and call Elon Musk names,” said traditionally soft-spoken author, American historian and political commentator Victor Davis Hanson earlier this week.

How Desperate & Scared Are Democrats? Newly appointed New Jersey Democrat Senator Andy Kim (the guy Jersey Governor Phil Murphy picked to replace disgraced, corrupt Democrat Senator Menendez who was sentenced to prison) brought up the idea of a government shutdown on NBC’s ‘Meet the Press”.
Even CNN scoffed at that with its analyst Mark Preston saying in reaction to calls for a protest shutdown: “Crazy talk to do that! How can you argue for a government shutdown when you‘re arguing about government being cut? I don‘t understand that. I mean, it makes no sense politically to me, anyway. But what do I know?”
The Dems screaming and howling is a great show, almost as much fun as it was watching Kamala Harris attempt to string a coherent sentence or two together. By the way, where is the queen of ossification these days?
They claim they lost the election because their messaging was wrong, and they lack a brand.

Based on the current vile screaming and inane antics by the Democrat Congressional caucus outside the Capitol Building their message to America is: “F__k you!”, which was shouted often and loudly by these elected officials. Their new brand is apparently patterned after “Gantsa rap.” All their vile screaming and howling isn’t registering with the average American, just the opposite. It will only ensure that their future election results will be even more catastrophic. I hope they continue on their current path.
Representative Presley coined what might be the Dems key message saying: “We are ‘willing to work with anyone who’s serious about doing the work of censoring the American people’”. I didn’t make that up, really.
In a clip posted by Elon Musk California Democrat Representative made a telling statement screaming that Americans are being “violated because all of our privacy is being taken up by Elon Musk and Trump.” She then added: “And we don’t know what all they have on us.”
Trump’s agenda is being wildly applauded. Political analyst Mark Halperin said: “Not everything, but most of what he’s done for the first three weeks pass 70/30 and is very popular. If people were just going on his policies, his approval rating would be even higher.”
Halperin emphasized that 70% of Americans say Trump is doing what he promised to do. “When Americans are 24 points more likely to say that you‘re doing what you promised to do, it’s no wonder that your net approval rating is much more likely to be on the positive side of the ledger than on the negative side,” he explained.

Meanwhile Back At The Ranch: The “No Ethanol” crowd celebrated the Fernandina Beach’s new City Manager’s decision to forbid RAYM from producing ethanol hereabouts with a celebratory event at Amelia Island’s Mocama Brewery this week.
I find that ironic? The distilling process used to make ethanol is identical to that used to produce beer at Mocama, which is just a couple blocks down the street from the RYAM facility.

Please Don’t Leave: Fernandina’s News Leader Editor Tracy Dishman penned a Wednesday, February 15 column heaping praise on that paper’s Sports Editor Beth Jones.
Ms. Jones is probably responsible for the bulk of that paper’s circulation. Her factual articles about area schools’ sports team accompanied by photos of the young athletes are sent around the country by proud parents anxious to show off their progeny’s athletic prowess to grandma and grandpa, cousins, uncles and friends.
Ms. Jones’s no-nonsense style sticks to the standard who, what, when, where and why of journalism making it easy factual reading.
Terry LaCoss, the paper’s fishing editor is probably the best writer on the staff. I’m not a fisherman and have little interest in the sport.. However, I’m drawn to Terry’s weekly column because it is well written and interesting. He never fails to tell me something new and fascinating about an activity I’ve traditionally considered uninteresting
The News Leader has suffered several staff losses during Ms. Dishman’s tenure including popular long-time conservative columnist Steve Niklaus, who joined the Yulee News and nature writer Pat Foster-Turley, who jumped ship to join the online sight impaired Observer. Dickie Anderson, who wrote for the NL for many years abandoned ship not long ago. The paper can’t afford to lose Mr. LaCoss or Ms. Jones.

Nazis? Hamas? What’s The difference: Letting Hamas remain in charge in any capacity in Gaza would be the equivalent of the allies in World War II letting the Nazis continue to govern Germany. It would have been unthinkable. Any Hamas leader that remains alive should be arrested and brought to trial in an Israeli court like Nazi war criminal Adolf Eichmann was in 1961.
The brats in the neighborhood, where I grew up, used to express their feelings about a resident they disliked in a unique way. They would collect some dog do-do in a paper bag, place it at the front door of their victim, set it afire, then ring the doorbell and run away. As you might suspect, the victim would open the door, see the burning bag, then stomp out the fire with their foot thus receiving the intended message.
As Biden and McConnell leave office, their actions reminded me of this childish prank. Biden with his pardons and orders to spend as much as possible. McConnell for his sour grapes NO votes on President Trump’s Cabinet Appointees.
They leave their final legacy marred by their disregard for the majority- just like the bad kids in my neighborhood did back when.
Dave…. We know the direction the government agency audits are going. Its not where, for what and how much is going out. They don’t care about transgender dancing in Ireland (Pat might). The rock that’s going to be turned over is…. How much comes back to Congress and to whom. They’ve already alluded to this in the audit. In the State department it’s common knowledge that kickbacks occur, it’s seen as a normal business practice. Standby, it’s going to be entertaining watching the rats run for the gunnels.
We don’t need to look to DC for poor fiscal practices. We could use a DOGE team right here in Fernandina Beach.
And, in the future please refrain from using the drunken sailor analogy. That’s offensive to us professionals. Sailors stop when out of our they’re own money, they spend everyone else’s.
Well stated Brother Dave!
Dave, I cannot wait for them to get into the kick back money, mostly bribes laundered through foundations and NGO. Unfortunately it is not just one party doing it albeit I think most of it is on the dems. The method is simple, representative so and so is giving a speech and or his family “works for” or is on the board of such and such. Long ago rep Carl Alpert was so honored to be asked to speak before a group, he paid his own way. Don’t think that happens much today. Ever wonder why all those lobby groups are around DC? Answer is same as given by the bank robber who was asked why he robbed banks: it is where the money is.
Kudos on your continuing good work here
Dave..i can imagine which friend came up with the Patriots versus the Stealers.
I like this one describing the battle in D vs C–the Disrupters versus the Corruptors,
Thanks for your clarity and entertainment,
The people who changed names of everything from Military Bases to Pancake Syrup sure seem mad about the Gulf of America thing …
Bravo
Good stuff Dave!! The Yulee News far outshines the mullet wrapper.
Dave, I have not been receiving email notices of your blog posts, as in times past. Please reach out to your Department of Notifications (the one department I am NOT in favor of Elon closing down) to rectify this oversight.
Meanwhile, since it is too hot (no a/c even in summer in this part of the world) and I am consequently too uncomfortable to write anything worthwhile, I highly recommend this: https://gellerreport.com/2025/02/autopsy-of-democrat-party-suicide.html/?fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAR2y4ymE0tOTWWV3Azay4DITBBv0ZGbM9UWBA9rPXk8VLFla3qKJ_eaToLw_aem_TqGcfgRTqgekaweOwT5D3g#comments
