While visiting the Utah Valley University campus September 10 and appearing before a crowd of 3,000 while sitting under his traditional banner that proclaimed, “Prove Me Wrong”, Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk was shot and killed by a cowardly madman.
The 31-year-old outspoken Christian conservative invited anyone attending his sessions to debate him, offering the most outspoken, angry, radical challengers a place at the front of the line.
That evening President Donald Trump opened a national address with a message of grief and fury, mourning the assassination of Kirk and praising him as a fearless patriot who championed free speech and American ideals.
Many politicians appeared publicly announcing their shock and grief at Kirk’s murder. Some were brought to tears describing their admiration and affection for the young man with a smile, who influenced thousands of students sans profanity and irate rants, presenting facts and logic in a soothing tone.
He was everything Democrats hate and fear—a charismatic, Christian Republican lecturing on left-leaning college campuses, converting students to conservative thinking.
Most of the rabid progressives appearing before him were left repeating empty hackneyed leftist phrases with their concluding arguments being stammering streams of “but, but, but.”
When he was shot he was debating a student about mass shooters and transgender ideology.
Following the shooting the left and Democrats outdid themselves with heartless, vile, irrational, and angry statements, with one lunatic anchor even being fired on the spot at MSNBC.
Anchor Matthew Dowd’s removal came just hours after MSNBC President Rebecca Kutler released a statement through the network’s public relations X account.
“During our breaking news coverage of the shooting of Charlie Kirk, Matthew Dowd made comments that were inappropriate, insensitive, and unacceptable. We apologize for his statements. There is no place for violence in America, political or otherwise,” Kutler wrote. However, the statement wasn’t read on the air.
While some were respectful; and reverent many leftists on social media bared their true character by pronouncing their hate for the deceased Christian married father of two small children.
How disrespectful and vile are Democrats? Thursday when Colorado Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert requested a spoken prayer for Kirk Democrat lawmakers shouted “no”. These are the same people that kneeled for a drug-addled George Floyd, said nothing about the fatal stabbing of a Ukrainian war refugee, and champion an illegal alien human trafficker, wife beater, and MS-13 gang member.
Their disrespect and hate knows no bounds. By registering as Democrats they are broadcasting their hatred, and advertising that they are people to avoid.
Illinois Governor J.B Pritzker blamed President Trump for the shooting saying: “We saw the shootings, the killings in Minnesota. We’ve seen other political violence occur in other states. And I would just say it’s got to stop. And I think there are people who are fomenting it in this country,” Pritzker said. “I think the president’s rhetoric often foments it.” Hey governor, whose fault are the weekly killings in Chicago that the President vows to stop?
The Daily Caller reported that University of Michigan assistant professor Charles H.F. Davis stated on Thursday that the assassination of Kirk is a “solution” to “violent rhetoric spewed by empowered people.” In addition to defending Kirk’s murder, Davis retweeted several posts that celebrated the assassination.
Gainesville-based Florida attorney and commentator Jeff Childers may have described the current mood of decent Americans Thursday writing: “After the bombing of Pearl Harbor, Japanese Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto is said to have warned, ‘I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve.’”
“Yamamoto’s quote perfectly captures how I feel this morning” wrote Childers. “I feel a sense of terrible resolve. It’s not yet clear what we must resolve to do, but it is clear we must resolve to do something. Talking isn’t working.”
Due to Charlie Kirk’s assassination this is an abbreviated column, as any other items would be irreverent.
EXACTLY!!!
The world has lost a great man that put God, Family, and Country above all else in that order. Charlie Kirk was a man that would debate any of the haters of the Conservative Movement and always put the shut-up on anyone he was debating. The man that hid a distance away and assassinated him rather than debate him just shows the depth of cowardliness of every one that claims to be a member of the Democrat Party at the national, state, or local level. Here in Nassau County ,cowardness by Democrats is in full force. You have a Queer council member that claimed to be a Republican just long enough to get elected only to “Come Out” a second time as a Democrat. This is the type of deception that needs a full investigation and if found to be accurate, removal from office on voter fraud grounds.. I just hope the voters remember these shenanigans next election. As to the coward that could not face Charlie Kirk, I hope he is captured, tried, found guilty, and stands before an Utah Firing Squad. Just before he is shot dead I want him to crap in his diaper as he bullet tears into his neck. Having been a victim of being shot by a coward with a gun this coward and many like him ,need to feel the hot lead, force of Impact, and feeling of life draining away.
The left’s vile and outrageous response to this senseless murder of Charlie Kirk is emblematic of their true character (if they actually have any?), which proves beyond a shadow of doubt they, the left, have forfeited their right to coexist in our society.
The name “ The Left” needs to stop
These are violent communists seeking to overthrow our government and take control of our lives. Communists are anti family , anti religion and anti free speech
Charlie Kirk always went to the belly of the beast to open a dialogue with those who have been brainwashed by our institutions largely supported by nefarious NGO’s and the CCP
Sadly he is a martyr now; but the fight will continue and his values shall remain ingrained in our hearts and cherished
Charlie Kirk was exercising his First Amendment right to free speech, when he was assassinated by someone who didn’t agree with his views. As horrific as this murder was, and despite some on the left celebrating Charlie’s death, conservatives and MAGA supporters didn’t take to the streets burning down buildings, rioting, or threatening to harm leftists …. unlike what happened when drug thug Floyd died. We are not the same.

It is NOT a “both sides” issue.
No assassination attempts on Biden.
No assassination attempts on Kamala.
No assassination attempts on AOC.
No assassination attempts on any other prominent voice on the political left.
No violence from pro-Israeli crowds.
No arrests on the pro-Israeli side.
No calls for death or murder of those who oppose the pro-Israeli side.
Those who oppose gender ideology do not call for the death of those who disagree with them.
Those who oppose movements like BLM did not call for the death of those who took part in the BLM riots.
Social media is not flooded with videos from those on the right celebrating the deaths of those on the left or wishing harm upon them.
It is not a “both sides” issue
They may have found the puppet who actually shot Charlie Kirk but they have yet to unveil the communist forces behind his actions. The global elite cartel and the democrats on their payroll are the true evil. They did it on 9/11 …
Was Charlie Kirk asked not to come to speak? What was that about?
While violence is never acceptable or justified, let’s not rewrite history — Charlie Kirk was not an American hero. He built his platform on division, intolerance, and bigotry. Criticism of his legacy is not an endorsement of violence; it’s a call for honesty.
“The further a society drifts from the truth, the more it will hate those who will speak it.” (George Orwell)
“When people stop talking, bad stuff happens.
When marriages stop talking, divorce happens.
When civilizations stop talking, civil war ensues.
When you stop having a human connection, with someone you disagree with, it becomes a lot easier to want to commit violence against that group.
What we as a culture have to get back to, is being able to have a reasonable disagreement where violence is not an option.”

RIP Charlie💜🇺🇸💜🙏🏼
Jen, very well stated. All too true! 💜
I respect that people may admire Charlie Kirk for his convictions, but it’s important to consider what those convictions were built on. While he certainly championed traditional values like God, Family, and Country, his rhetoric often fueled division and intolerance. A true debate, in my view, should be about finding common ground and fostering understanding, not just “shutting up” the other side. It’s essential to challenge ideas with empathy and respect, not through polarization or name-calling. Ultimately, admiration for someone should also account for how they contribute to the unity of the country, not just their ability to win an argument.
To Larry D- there are none so blind as those who will not see; none so deaf as those who refuse to listen ; suggest you watch any number of his campus events – his platform was based on exchanging ideas; no name calling; no disparaging comments towards those who disagree; just open exchanges taking questions from anyone
To LJReilly-Charlie Kirk was never about shutting anyone up or about intolerance – he took questions from anyone and engaged in discussions; it was all about education and tolerance – his goal was to create unity allowing for differing opinions /differing points of view – go watch a few hours of his events
Charlie was one of the most influential young Americans since revolutionary war days. My further thoughts:
https://www.citizensjournal.net/charlie-kirk-is-now-stronger-than-ever/
It is amazing, but revealing, to note how many on the left support, indeed gloat over, the application of the death penalty even without due process! Sick, sick, sick
To Larry D and all the other misinformed haters on this blog Charlie Kirk’s overarching goal was to win the culture war for conservative values by organizing and mobilizing young people. As the founder of Turning Point USA, his efforts were primarily focused on shaping the views of young Americans, particularly on college campuses.
Key components of Kirk’s goals included:
-,Creating a conservative youth movement: At 18, Kirk founded Turning Point USA with the aim of building a conservative organization that could rival progressive groups like MoveOn.org. His goal was to foster a strong conservative identity among young people and get them involved in politics.
-,Influencing college campuses: Kirk saw academia as a major source of progressive ideology. A central part of his strategy was to make college campuses more welcoming to conservative students and to popularize ideas like free-market economics and traditional gender roles. He regularly held debates and forums at universities to challenge what he viewed as left-wing dominance.
– Promoting President Trumps ideology and the MAGA movement: Kirk became a prominent ally of Donald Trump and used his platform to promote the “Make America Great Again” movement. His organization played a significant role in mobilizing young voters for Trump’s campaigns.
– Expanding conservative media: Kirk’s media empire included his daily podcast, “The Charlie Kirk Show,” and other initiatives like the “Culture Apothecary” podcast aimed at a younger demographic. His ambition was for Turning Point to become as well-known and powerful as major media and educational institutions like The New York Times and Harvard.
– Shifting American culture: Beyond just politics, Kirk sought to fundamentally transform American culture by injecting his conservative views into social debates. He sought to return American culture to what he considered a more traditional and ideal past.
Charlie Kirk did not use hate to get his message out. He came armed with facts and was willing to debate anyone, anytime. At no point did he threaten, lie, or use hate.
Now let’s look at the man who murdered him. A hate filled leftist ideologue who lived with and was romantically involved with a wannabe transgendered person. Stop a minute and look at the trans people involved in some of the major murderous events this past two years . 2o24 there were 350,transgendered murders, mostly black females killed by their lovers, also mostly black females. The Minneapolis school shooting this year was a transgendered person. I suggest that trans people, which is a mere 1% of the population but a 6% rate of violence towards others has a high percentage of mental illness brought out by their trans sex life. Prove me wrong but LGBTQ+/Gender Confused people are known to lie about their political affiliation and ideology just to get what they want. Sound familiar?
Charlie Brown’s description underplays just how hollow Charlie Kirk’s shtick really was. The MAGA world thrives on outrage, fear, and soundbites because it has no real solutions to offer. Kirk had perfected the art of packaging that emptiness in a way that sells.
Behind the hashtags and college campus stunts, there’s no vision for the future – just endless culture war theatrics designed to rile people up and keep the donation machine humming. He presented himself as a warrior for “the cause,” but the cause was little more than his personal enrichment and celebrity status. He wasn’t building a movement – he was running a grift, just like Mr. Trump is.
At the end of the day, he’s emblematic of the broader MAGA ecosystem: loud, attention-seeking, allergic to substance, and fundamentally parasitic. It’s not about building up young conservatives with real ideas – it’s about milking them for clicks, cash, and clout. And that’s why, despite all the noise, people outside the MAGA bubble saw Kirk for what he was: a salesman of resentment, not a leader with answers.
The truth is, he exploited divisive rhetoric for personal gain while pretending to stand for “God, Family, and Country.” Those values deserved better than to be hijacked by someone more interested in stoking culture wars than someone who is actually capable of, and interested, in building bridges.
Mike L, the Man that won’t be honest and give his full name is certainly an example of a DemoTURD being tragically, severely, and catastrophically lacking in the cerebral prefrontal lobe cortex development area. Here in the mountains of Florida that means really, really, stoopid. I have seen dumb, more dumb, and much more dumb in my life but this man is the dumbest piece of donkey excrement I have ever seen or heard. I just love it when these liberal schmucks think that the conservative movement is the least bit harmed by their words. The killing of Charlie Kirk by a Queer lover of a transgendered man playing a woman has unleaded a wave like nothing seen in this nation and free world. I am just sitting back laughing at how many are losing their careers by denigrating a great person that is probably the reason second only to Donald J. Trump, that turned so many young voters red. Charlie Kirk not only turned born in America young people but many immigrants that came here for a better life and now achieving that dream because they are not being robbed by Biden, Obama, Clinton, and the haters in Congress. It is sab Charlie Kirk is now in Heaven but he is watching over a movement that will be here for decades. All you DemoRAT’s just stock up on Kleenex because you are going to need a huge box.
I am a proud Conservative America where the Flag of the United States is my Pride Flag.
Mike L. : You are one sick person. Charlie Kirk was assassinated for trying to reach the youth of America (and the world). There was no “shtick” about Charlie Kirk and you will regret your rhetoric. He is a hero to me and the youth he reached for his Christian values.
For they sow the wind And they reap the whirlwind. Hosea 8;7a
The blood of Martyrs is the seed of the church.
Thanks Dave
Ah yes, the deep wisdom of mountain Florida. Truly, when you drop gems like ‘DemoTURD’ and ‘stoopid,’ you can’t help but think, ‘Now that’s the intellectual high ground we’ve been missing!’ I mean, who needs facts or reasoning when you’ve got such refined vocabulary, right? Now, as for your assessment of Charlie Kirk — I’m so glad we can all sit back and bask in the ‘legacy’ of someone who’s more known for his constant need for a spotlight than any actual meaningful contribution to society. But hey, let’s give credit where it’s due: He definitely turned a lot of people to his version of politics — you know, the one where facts don’t matter, and the reality is as fluid as his political ideology. And really, if we’re talking about true visionaries like Charlie, let’s not forget the impressive lineup of folks that made this country great: slavery apologists and genocidal colonizers—but I digress.
Now, to address your touching sentiment about losing careers: Let’s be real, it’s not ‘losing careers’ when people are held accountable for their actions. But then again, accountability seems like an alien concept when you’re more concerned with virtue signaling than with anything remotely resembling critical thinking. And as for the ‘great’ Charlie, if the mark of a great leader is leaving behind a trail of divisiveness and conflict, then sure — he’s a real role model.
Oh, and the flag? The one you claim as your Pride Flag? It’s truly heartwarming to see a flag that represents freedom for all Americans being so proudly claimed by people who’d prefer to see half of those Americans silenced or worse. A true testament to ‘freedom’ in your world. Stock up on more Kleenex, darling — it’s going to be a long four years
Mike L.,
Projection much?
“There are none so blind as those that will not see”
Chris B., it’s easy to say ‘there are none so blind as those who will not see, but it’s important to recognize that people often have different perspectives based on their experiences, backgrounds, and access to information. Many of the challenges we face—whether it’s about systemic inequality, climate change, or healthcare—are complex issues that can be seen through different lenses. Encouraging open-mindedness and empathy is key, rather than dismissing others as “blind.”
Sometimes, people are not blind; they just need the opportunity to hear different voices and consider new ideas. True progress comes from engaging with each other, not from assuming that one side has all the answers.
From the comments received, this war will never end and people are falling further and further apart.
It is totally frightening
Not sure if MS. Miller is referring to the war in Gaza, which apparently will not end until Israel has killed all of the Palestinian people (just saw the news) or if she is talking about the nonsense above? Regardless, she is correct in her conclusion. But it is not the left that is my concern.
Donald Trump has often used words that critics say encourage violence. At rallies, he told supporters to rough up protesters and even promised to pay their legal fees. He praised a congressman who attacked a reporter and, during the George Floyd protests, tweeted “when the looting starts, the shooting starts.” On January 6th, his call to “fight like hell” was followed by the storming of the Capitol, which a judge later ruled was incitement.
Charlie Kirk hadn’t gone as far (yet), but he also thrived on outrage. Through Turning Point USA, he built his brand on stirring anger and division rather than offering real solutions. His constant focus on culture wars kept people fired up but did little to actually solve problems.
Both men turned politics into a game of anger and conflict. That might have helped them personally, but it pushed the country further apart. As Ms. Miller points out the growing divisiveness between the parties should worry everyone, no matter their views.
