Charlie Kirk’s Murder Might Be America’s “Turning Point”

Instead of silencing Charlie Kirk, his murder has become a klaxon call ushering in a new era of conservative voices, not just in the U.S., but worldwide.

Charlie’s widow Erika, speaking to a national audience just after his death, summed it up best. Choking back tears she told the left: “You have no idea what you just have unleashed across this entire country, and this world.”

Charlie was everything Democrats hate and fear — a charismatic, Christian conservative lecturing on college campuses, successfully convincing students to consider conservative and Christian viewpoints. His death has amplified his message worldwide.

The deeply religious 31-year-old charming married father of two invited anyone attending his sessions to debate him, cheerfully offering the most hostile, angry, and radical a place at the front of the line.

Left wing college administrators and professors were so fearful of the cheerful Turning Point USA founder’s eloquent persuasiveness they didn’t allow him in their auditoriums or classrooms, so he lectured on campus lawns, attracting massive student crowds. Despite never attending college his positions, appeal, likeability, and intellect dwarfed his scholarly left-wing university adversaries.

While visiting the Utah Valley University campus September 10 and appearing before a crowd of 3,000 while sitting under his customary banner proclaiming: “Prove Me Wrong”, Kirk was shot and killed by a hate-filled coward.

Following his death President Donald Trump gave a national address with a message of grief and fury, mourning his assassination and praising him as a fearless patriot who championed free speech and American ideals.

Pope Leo XIV spoke about the incident along with other Vatican officials and U.S. Catholic bishops, saying the church cannot stay silent in the face of such violence.

Several other leaders from around the world offered their condolences and praised Kirk. More than 100,000 turned out in London to honor Charlie. Similar demonstrations took place in Europe, Africa, etc. What makes this so remarkable is that Charlie wasn’t a politician a head of state, a statesman, author or film or stage celebrity. He was the guy next door you wanted to watch a football game with; the guy with a perpetual smile that always waved and smiled as he drove past; the fellow greeting you as you entered and left church. He was the All-American boy all grown up.

Many politicians, mostly Republicans, spoke publicly announcing their shock and grief at Kirk’s murder. Many were brought to tears describing their admiration and affection for the young man with a smile, who influenced thousands of students sans profanity and irate rants, presenting facts and logic in a soothing rational tone.

Most of the rabid angry liberals appearing before him retreated after repeating only empty hackneyed talking points with their concluding arguments being a stammering stream of “but, but, but.”

When he was shot he was debating a student about mass shooters and transgender ideology.

Following the shooting leftist Democrats outdid themselves with their callous, vile, irrational, and angry statements, with even MSNBC being fed up, firing a disgusting anchor on the spot.

Anchor Matthew Dowd’s removal came just hours after MSNBC President Rebecca  Kutler released a statement through the network’s public relations X account saying: “During our breaking news coverage of the shooting of Charlie Kirk, Matthew Dowd made comments that were inappropriate, insensitive, and unacceptable. We apologize for his statements. There is no place for violence in America, political or otherwise,” she wrote. However, the statement wasn’t read on the air.

While some were respectful, many leftists on social media bared their true character by pronouncing their hate for the deceased married father of two small children.

Just how disrespectful and vile are Democrats? Last Thursday when Colorado Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert requested a spoken prayer for Kirk Democrat lawmakers repeatedly shouted “NO.”  These are the same people that kneeled for a drug-addled thief, George Floyd, said nothing about the fatal stabbing of a Ukrainian female war refugee; and championed an illegal alien human trafficker, wife beater, and MS-13 gang member.

Their disrespect and hate has no bounds. By registering as Democrats they publicly broadcast their hatred and advertise that they are people to avoid. These are the same people who refer to President Trump as Hitler and call Republicans fascists.

During a rambling hate-filled interview on YouTube Democrat Minnesota Congresswoman Ilhan Omar said people who remembered Kirk fondly were “full of shxt” and that progressives should “call them out because it is ‘f-ed up’ for people to remember the late Turning Point USA founder Kirk for his good deeds.”

Illinois Democrat Governor J.B Pritzker tried to one-up Omar blaming President Trump for the shooting saying: “We saw the shootings, the killings in Minnesota. We’ve seen other political violence occur in other states. And I would just say it’s got to stop. And I think there are people who are fomenting it in this country, I think the president’s rhetoric often foments it.”

While many NFL and MLB teams paid tribute to the slain Kirk, one staffer was quickly shown the door for his insensitive and revolting remarks. Hours after Kirk was shot, Charlie Rock, a member of the NFL’s Carolina Panthers’ communications department, posted on Instagram: “Why are y’all sad? Your man said it was worth it …”

He included a photo of Kirk and a reference to the Wu-Tang Clan song “Protect Ya Neck” in the post: He was appropriately fired following his disgusting comments. He should apply for a public relations position with the Democrat National Committee.

A pair of commenters on my davescottblog.com voiced their negative opinions of Charlie, one saying he is “emblematic of the broader MAGA ecosystem: loud, attention-seeking, allergic to substance, and fundamentally parasitic.  It’s not about building up young conservatives with real ideas – it’s about milking them for clicks, cash, and clout,” he wrote.

I vehemently disagree with their despicable sentiments, but their abhorrent scorn didn’t contain profanity or a threat of physical violence. They do, however, demonstrate how irresponsible and heartless those on the left have become, even locally.

For example, during the rioting and mayhem following thug George Floyd’s death, Fernandina City Commissioner and Mayor Mike Lednovich, proudly waltzed down Centre Street wearing a Black Lives Matter (BLM) sandwich board, an FBPD baseball cap, and a red clown nose. His actions sent a message saying he was a supporter of the militant Black Lives Matter group, a clown, and was endorsed by the local police department and the city confirming that he was apparently applying for the position of village idiot. He even posted a picture (shown here) of himself on his Facebook page He eventually took it down without ever explaining his bizarre costume.

Following his loss for reelection he joined the sight-impaired online Fernandina Observer where he continues to spew his misleading mindless liberal tripe.

Unlike the vicious mayhem displayed by the left and endorsed by Democrats following drug-addled thief and ex-con George Floyd’s death, there were no riots, fires, looting, attacks on police or killings. Following Charlie’s death there were prayer vigils, packed churches, patriotic songs, hymns, TV specials honoring him, and worldwide tributes that are still occurring.

Nationwide the haters are discovering they have a right to voice their opinions, no matter how abhorrent, but that there are consequences for their actions including firings, expulsions, public shamming, humiliation and ridicule.

It’s been reported that more than 50,000 requests to start Turning Point chapters in colleges and high schools nationwide have been received.

When last asked, Charlie said that above all he wished to be remembered for his faith. Far more than any political victory, Charlie wanted to see a spiritual revival among America’s youth. He wanted a nation of happy, thriving families who loved God and each other.

Gainesville-based Florida attorney and commentator Jeff Childress described the current mood writing: “After the bombing of Pearl Harbor, Japanese Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto is said to have warned, ‘I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve.’”

Jeff said, “Yamamoto’s quote perfectly captures how I feel this morning: I feel a sense of terrible resolve. It’s not yet clear what we must resolve to do, but it is clear we must resolve to do something. Talking isn’t working.”

Prove Me Wrong: The only possible reason that Democrat mayors of crime-infested cities and their Democrat state governors resist President Trump’s offer to send in federal agents and the National Guard to clean up their lawless nests is that, when it succeeds, it would make them look like the inept stumblebums they are. The only other reason would be that they consider the murderers and thieves their constituents. Otherwise, what would explain their opposition to protecting their residents?
